NEW TO HOLY TRINITY?
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is a diverse and active congregation strongly committed to its mission of ‘caring actively in the name of Jesus Christ.’
The congregation, affiliated with the Virginia Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, has been described as “liturgically vibrant, theologically relevant, spiritually enriching, and socially aware.”

What worship opportunities do you offer? On Sunday mornings at Holy Trinity we hold services of Holy Communion at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. We also have a mid-week service of Holy Communion every Wednesday at 12:10 p.m. Worship during the summer is held at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m., with the addition of a brief 7:30 a.m. outdoor service of Holy Communion in the columbarium. Please see The Beacon newsletter for outdoor worship schedule. During the Advent and Lenten seasons, we have additional mid-week worship opportunities. At different times throughout the year we offer Matins, Vespers, Compline, and Thomas Mass liturgies.

Is childcare provided? While we encourage children to be present in worship, a nursery – located on the lower level of the church – is available for children from birth to age three if needed during the service. A nursery is also available for Sunday Church School and special events. Our nursery attendants provide loving and nurturing care. “Helping Your Child Worship” is a brochure available in the narthex and Fellowship Hall information racks. This publication provides parents with thoughtful information on supporting the worship life of their child(ren).

Is the building handicap accessible?Yes! Our church building features an elevator to safely transport those unable to use the stairs between our first and second floors. We also have a drop-off area in the front of the building to provide direct, easy access to the main entrance. Holy Communion is distributed on the main level of the worship space. The bread and wine will be brought to the pew for anyone who chooses to remain in their seat because of mobility issues.
